A fort that is left only with strong walls yet holds an enthralling trek.
What it could offer is an experience that certainly climbing up the stairs on a hill can not. How many times have you climb a running waterfall, that has water till your waist, having an height of around 1000 mtrs above sea level. Running water , steep height, slippery and certainly uneven rocks to step upon.It is chilly ,foggy, engrossing experience. Lot of the people prefer Lohgarh Fort over Visapur for the ease of climbing. But actually its worth the risk. The serenity and solitude at the top is impeccable and simply inexpressive. And if you happen to be a nature loner or even if a loner you would not go the usual way of clicking pictures rather admire the delightful sight.
How risky this could be - on a scale of 10 it is 7 for sure and if you have Acrophobia the game is even harder. It is steep and at one point we thought that there is no feasible way ahead. But the fun and enthusiasm made us explore it more and we found the way....it wasn't something I have ever experienced.I mean yes when we were climbing up the waterfall it was comfortable and playful but the very moment you turn your head back the height traveled would blew all the insane spirit. The actual driving force was not that the water was very pleasant but the curiosity as to climbing the slippery yet steady rocks. It would be too audacious and macho to not say that we did not get tired, yeah we did. And we also asked couple of returning down co-trekkers how more we need to climb.
What does it offer on the top- in single word Peace. Firstly, not much of the people prefer this fort so this makes it a little more preferable in terms of Calmness. Among rest the grass is more like a green velvet and looks just too prefect. Standing at a distance, the foggy clouds and this green carpet creates a captivating horizon. Looking down from the top just makes the world looks so mystique that for some moments all the materialist tension bury as the distant hills disappear in clouds. You wish for the moment to stay the same for lifetime and wonder how much ecstatic it would be if we lived in the hills. Waking up to the most content full beauty and living by the sides of greenery. But to the sheer surprise of it, the wandering returns when one of the co-trekkers request you to click the damn thing for an FB page. No doubts the picture gets a lot of like and each like makes you love this place all the way more.
Returning back- could be termed satisfactory yet dissent. The downfall to the grounds is saddening for the reason of leaving such a harmonious place. But the moments spent above in solitude keeps the spirit high of the real ride of fear. Yeah the rocks slips and yes you have to face the height this time. But its lot more uneasy in to begin with. No wonder each step to the down shortens the distance but the cumbersomeness of it never ending kills you. Actually its all about the momentum and pace , when in form climbing down seems equally a relishing experience. As soon as the waterfall ends the rest of the trek is usual and moreover like unremarkable journey to the harbor.
Why you should go - only if you love yourself and believe the world isnt that stressful. Actually its not. It's tranquillizing.:)
